Relaying of two chambers

A project for Värmevärden includes design and technical consultation regarding the removal of two chambers in Avesta for DN400 and DN300 pipes. These chambers have had leakage problems that were temporarily repaired. The plan is to carry out the construction during the summer of 2021 when the demand for heat is low.

The system is complex to manage, as it involves determining which customers can be without heat and which cannot due to societal needs.

Special solutions such as blocking, mobile boilers, and quick and safe draining of several hundred cubic meters of water are part of the plan.

Design work is ongoing, starting with a functional system solution followed by detailed pipe routing and power calculations.
